Alvin Journeyman is the third book in the Alvin Soar series. Alvin is a journeyman now, and his path takes him to the great city of Camelot—or New Liverpool as some call it. There he encounters a society unlike any he's ever known, a place where folk with the knack for heartfinding and other talents are gathered and valued. But Alvin's gift is different from theirs. His is the gift of making—of taking raw materials and shaping them into something new and whole. And in a city where every person's talent is accounted for and controlled, Alvin's power is both desperately wanted and deeply feared. As Alvin searches for his place in this strange new world, he discovers that not everyone welcomes his talent. There are those who would use him, and those who would destroy him. And at the heart of it all is a mystery—about his own past, about the true nature of his gift, and about the destiny that seems to be drawing him ever forward.
