When you visit a page, your browser sends technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, the time of the request, your browser and your operating system. Vercel processes this data to deliver the site and keep it secure, and may briefly store it in server logs.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR - our legitimate interest in a securely and reliably delivered website. Data may be processed in the USA; transfers are based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and/or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

To understand which pages and features are used, this site uses Vercel Web Analytics. It works without cookies and does not track you across websites. Visitors are told apart by a hash derived from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours, so no individual visitor profile is built. Recorded are the page visited, the referring page, and general information such as country, browser, operating system and device type.

In addition, some interactions are recorded as anonymous events: search terms you submit, books and topics you expand in a list, books you add to your wishlist, and year filters you apply. Please don't enter personal information into the search box.

Your wishlist and, if you switch between light and dark mode, your choice of theme are saved in your browser's local storage, so the site remembers them on your next visit. The wishlist holds only the books you saved and the time you saved them. To show it, the site sends the list of saved books to its server to look up their titles and covers and to find similar books - this request contains nothing that identifies you and isn't stored. You can remove both at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

You have the right to access the personal data stored about you, and to have it corrected, deleted or its processing restricted, as well as the right to data portability (Art. 15-20 GDPR). Where processing is based on legitimate interest, you can object to it at any time (Art. 21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, email fabian@tailoryourtrips.com.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit).
